Iconic Ring Review

Iconic cock ringWe have used several vibrating cock rings in the past, with varying results. In many cases, they just broke. They were all fun though, hands free vibration! Therefore, this month we decided to try out the Iconic Ring, which we got from our friends at Babeland.com.

The Iconic Ring is not just your average cheapie cock ring. With this toy, Jimmyjane is trying to reach a higher level, replacing the cheap, easy to break, non-replaceable battery toy with something, well, better! This toy is marketed as a more durable toy, which has replaceable batteries and even a 1-year warrantee… oh, and a pressure sensitive on / off switch… how fun!

When we got the toy, I noticed it was well packaged; batteries already inserted and ready to go. The box it comes in has a hole cut out with a void space beneath; this is so the pressure sensitive switch does not get pushed…which is good because, well, we wouldn’t want our toy’s buttons pushed in the mail would we? The Iconic Ring itself is made of Elastomer, a nice soft, stretchy material that has a sort of cap at one end, which keeps the water out. Jimmyjane claims the toy is shower safe and it surely seems to be… but be sure that the end cap is centered in place. On one end of the toy is a pressure sensitive switch which when pressed makes the toy go bzzz, or you can just press the small switch on the side of the toy and it will stay on.

Mr. Toy:

First off, let me say… the pressure sensitive switch was a total dud for us. We could not get it to work reliably. I don’t know if this is related to the angle of my dangle or the cushion we’ve been pushing but we just could not get it. This left me somewhat sad as I was really hoping to play with this feature. The button can still be fun as a hand held buzzer (buzz where you please) but for general use during sex, it just didn’t work for us. That said, once you click the little button on the side to turn it on, you’re off to the races!

The first time we used it, we spent about 30 minutes trying different positions to get the switch to work. Once we gave up, I just turned it on and we made love like usual, well, except that Mrs. Toy seemed to reach her big “O” in about 60 seconds! She was instantly squirming under me as that thing buzzed her in all the right spots. She told me that she could feel the vibrations throughout the length of me, and deep inside her.

I had no problems wearing this toy, on me it was just about the right tightness when worn around the base of my cock. I tried to put it around the whole package, but when I started stretching it far enough to get my balls in as well, I started getting worried about it breaking. As I said though, bigger guys can just wear it around their cock and be happy! This toy is smooth and comfortable, unlike some of the cheaper variations of vibrating ring I’ve worn, and I had no problems with slippage, despite any lube we used.

Mrs. Toy:

Iconic cock rngWow, that was all she could say. This saying is from a picture book I read and very fitting. The girl in the story couldn't wait to show everyone what she got as a gift and this toy is like that for me. I don’t know about you but sometimes vibrators like this can leave me feeling bruised the next day after being pushed against the same spot over and over but not this one. The intensity on the vibration is at little strong at first touch but after easing into it, which can be fun too as the vibration is not just on the outside but inside as well, it is perfect. There is a setting where the toy can vibrate intermittently depending on if you hit the button just right but it didn’t seem to work very well but that was ok because leaving it on was very pleasant. An easy put on and take off vibrator that doesn’t feel like there is anything there, how can you beat that.

Conclusions:

Our Pro’s: Soft, Stretchy, Well built, 1-year Warrantee, replaceable batteries, great size and shape, good vibration speed/power

Our Con’s: pressure sensitive switch was difficult to make work reliably.

Over all, we loved this toy. The ONLY thing we did not like was the pressure sensitive switch, which we found more frustrating than fun, though it may work better for others. We have used this toy several times already however, and it will definitely remain in our most frequently used toy drawers. Wearing this is a guaranteed “O” for Mrs. Toy that’s for sure! We definitely recommend the Iconic Ring from Babeland.com!
