Laya Spot Vibrator Review

After seeing the Laya Spot on the Babeland.com website, the wife and I were both excited to review this toy. The website described this toy as a small, ergonomic, medium intensity, fairly quiet vibrator that would be simple to use and perfect for travel, who wouldn’t want one of those we thought!

We received the toy and immediately unboxed it to try it out. At first glance, there wasn’t too much in the way of instructions. A simple diagram of the toy with points of interest marked out. It took us a few minutes to figure out the battery cap (you have to twist it fairly hard), but once we had it open we inserted the required two AA’s and were buzzing happily. The Laya Spot is smooth all over, made of phthalate-free, hypoallergenic Elastomer, which should be cleaned up with soap and water. There is a pair of soft touch controls, up and down, which cycle the toy through its various speeds. If you keep going up far enough, you will get to the three variable buzzing patterns. One thing to be aware of, the toy is splash resistant, not water proof… so be careful around water and be sure to check your battery compartment for water if it gets wet.

Mr. Toy:

The first thing I like about this toy is the shape. It fit’s comfortably in my hand which means I was able to spend a long time rubbing this on my wife’s clit and labia, and even some shallow insertion. Controlling the speed is also easy as the buttons are very conveniently located. I started her off at the lowest settings, but soon worked her up to the pulsating patterns, which had her writhing in pleasure. For this type of play, we would usually use a bullet in the past, which after long periods can leave my fingers tired and somewhat numb from the vibration, but with the Laya Spot I did not experience these problems at all. I also found she loved it when I turned it on one of the flatter sides and spread it’s vibrations over a larger area. At one point, my wife used the Laya Spot on me, pressing it behind my balls as she sucked on me, and it felt great, just the right size and amount of vibration to get me off too!

Mrs. Toy:

Once we received the toy and got it out, I noticed right away how comfortable the design felt in my hand. It felt similar to holding a computer mouse with buttons in just the right spot to reach even for someone with small hands like myself. Before beginning to play with it, I thought the buttons were hard to push and that the strongest setting would be too strong but when I started using it my thoughts changed.  I found it very easy to change through the speeds and the highest settings were just right. The way it moves over the body so easily allowed me to move it to just the right place and keep it there as opposed to a bullet that slips and slides easily. The Laya Spot also did not vibrate my hand like a bullet so it allowed for longer more comfortable use with the vibration in the area it is intended for.
Our only gripe is that you cannot control the random pulsations and speed separately, however this toy will definitely be one of our more commonly used toys in the future.

Conslusions:

Our Pros: Small, light, easy to control, great shape, fairly quiet.

Our Cons: No independent control of speed and variable pulsation type.

Over all the Laya Spot is a great toy. We would recommend this to any woman for solo use, or any couple who likes to give each other a buzz. If you require internal vibration or super high power, you might want to look for something else though.
