Little Chroma Review

I have to be honest here; I don’t feel right writing a ‘toy’ review for this item. This should be a review for “an incredibly well engineered pleasure tool”, or perhaps a “sensation enhancer for the discreet”! I am of course talking about the Little Chroma, which we received from our favorite spot on the web, Babeland, and as I said, I hate to call it a toy. You should not be ‘playing’ with this device… you should be experiencing it!

We got this little gem of a, sigh, toy… in blue because of course, that is Mrs. Toy’s favorite color. You can also order it in magenta, red, and black. Color aside, the Little Chroma is a “quiet, waterproof, everlasting vibrator”. It is rigid and made from metals (stainless, gold, platinum and double-anodized aluminum) which are non-toxic and can retain heat or cold. The toy is 5 inches long, and 5/8th inch thick so this is definitely not a big toy.  There is only one speed, you twist the cap until tight and the toy is on, however due do the design of the toy, one end vibrates stronger than the other, so you can pick the part that feels best on your parts.

Only one AA battery is required for this toy, which the maker claims will last up to 16 hours! To replace the battery just twist off the end cap and insert a new one. However be careful not to throw out the motor! The motor looks similar to the battery, and just slides in before the battery does, this is what makes the motor replaceable… pretty cool! Between the metal housing, and the replaceable battery, you should be able to hang on to this one for years.

This pleasure tool has got to be the best engineered sex toy I’ve ever seen. The cap has a good sized rubber seal so once the cap is screwed on it’s waterproof. The casing and cap are made from metal and are both very smooth and solid feeling. Jimmyjane even included a loophole where you can attach a cord to avoid losing the toy should you use it analy. But I haven’t even mentioned the best part yet! Once the cap is completely screwed on, the toy is extremely quiet, so quiet, that you can sneak up on someone, with it running!

The included instructions are very good for a sex toy. For cleaning they suggest leaving the toy on, clean with soap and water, dry, then turn it off. This method should help avoid getting water inside the body of the toy itself. You can also drop the toy in a bowl of hot water for a while, or put it in the fridge for a bit to give it a warm or cool feeling. Also according to the included documentation, there are very small amounts of nickel in the body of the toy, which should not pose a problem for most people. However, if you are very sensitive to nickel be cautious.

If you are someone who requires extremely strong vibrations, this toy may or may not be for you. Mrs. Toy found it to be plenty for her, but it certainly isn’t as strong as some of our other toys.

Mr. Toy:

I absolutely love this toy. It feels good in your hand and is easy to hold on to when you are using it on yourself or your partner. When you first begin to tighten the cap, the toy is fairly loud, however once you get it fully tightened, wow is it quiet. If you listen close, you can still hear it, however from 3-4 feet away, in our bedroom, with just the fans on our computers for background noise, we couldn’t hear the toy unless we were really listening. You certainly would never hear it outside of a closed door (note to self, take this to future overnight family outings)! I really can’t say enough about this toy and how quiet it is. I was able to use it to bring Mrs. Toy sky high and it had no distracting noise, in fact under the covers we really didn’t even hear it, just felt it.

Mrs. Toy:

I couldn’t believe he was able to sneak up on me. Mr. Toy walked up behind me and all of a sudden I was vibrating and jumping at the same time. I didn’t even hear him or the toy. When you are holding it you know it is on, but if someone else is not right next to you, they would have no idea. It works great for those nights when your significant other has guests over and you want to take some time alone in your room without everyone in the house hearing what you are doing. Turn it on and off under a pillow though or everyone will know what you are doing. So keep this phrase in mind: screw fast to get the toy started but slow once it is on.

I am pretty sensitive at first so taking it slow works well for me. The vibration is pretty much one speed but each end is a little different in that area. Once my sensitivity wore off, the pleasure took over and boy does it. Move it where you like and keep in mind, as long as you don’t end up with both ends slippery, it is very easy to hold on to.

The only thing I don’t like but knew up front is it won’t bend so can’t hit both the outside and the inside at the same time but hey, there are fun ways around that with the help of someone else. So, ask for help if you need it.

Strategically placed (pressed up against your clit and with the tip against the base of your man) you can use it to vibrate the outside of you and vibrate your partner’s bit while he is inside you, vibrating you a little more than usual. 

Conclusions:

Our Pros: Quietest toy we’ve ever been buzzed by, solid, well built, waterproof, one battery with long life, replaceable motor, hole to attach cord to, easy to clean, did we say quiet?!?

Our Cons:  A bit loud until the cap is tight.

Over all: The Little Chroma is a fantastic toy, err pleasure machine. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a well-built, long lasting, and quiet vibrator. There really is not much more to say… other than get on over to Babeland and Buy It!!!
