Amie M. Evans is a widely published creative nonfiction and literary erotica writer, experienced workshop provider, and a retired burlesque and high-femme drag performer. She also writes gaymale erotica under a pen name. Evans is on the board of directors for Saints and Sinners GLBT Literary Festival. She graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Literature and is currently working on her MLA at Harvard. Evans has offered workshops at Saints and Sinners Literary Festival; Plattsburgh State University; Wellesley College; Brandeis University; Cornell University; MIT; Damas Gracias Writers and Artists Workspace; Brookline Adult and Continuing Education Center; New Words; Grand Opening!; and Fenway Community Health. She has offered workshops and panels in conjunction with The Beautiful Project 2003, University of Maine; International Drag King Extravaganza 2002, Ohio State University; Safe Colleges 2002 Conference, Tufts College; New York University Women’s History Month, New York University; Lambda Book Review’s Behind Our Masks Literary Conference 2001 and 2000; BarkingPussy Workshops; Write Here, Write Now; and OutWrite National Queer Writers’ Conference 1999.
