Chick Lit: Erotica for Women (and the men who love them) Looking for online entertainment for women? We recommend:
FBI Special Agent Samantha Kennedy is haunted by memories of the serial killer who abducted her. To keep the darkness at bay, she pretends to be a different, more confident woman. This Samantha doesn't fear every unknown face. So she throws caution to the wind and shares a night of unbridled passion with a handsome stranger. One night isn't enough for successful entrepreneur Max Ridgeway. He wants more of the sexy, smart, mysterious woman who slipped away before dawn. When they meet again, their attraction is undeniable-until his stepbrother goes missing, and Max realizes that Samantha isn't who she seems. But they must trust each other to trap a ring of bloodthirsty kidnappers before the nightmares that terrorize Sam become irrevocably real. "Recommended for erotica fans who enjoy graphic, lengthy sex scenes or for readers of contemporary horror or “slice ‘em and dice ‘em” movies like the Saw franchise." —Deb, ThesSasonForRomance.com
Review by Ashley Lister: Nauti Nights is the third in a trilogy that began with Nauti Boy and concludes with Nauti Dreams. The story is based on the relationship between Dawg and Christa From the back of the book: “Blackmail is a dirty word, but Dawg will use it if that’s what it takes to get Crista where he wants her. His hungers are too hard and fierce not to. He doesn’t realize that Crista has a longing, too. She knows what he’s up to, what he’s capable of. He didn’t get that nickname for nothing. And before the night is through, Crista’s making him work for it.” Ordinarily blurb of this calibre would have stopped me from reading further. Aside from the fact that so many sentences end with prepositions, there’s that one comment that has me well and truly puzzled: Dawg didn’t get that nickname for nothing. Why? Can he lick his own balls? But, irascible reactions to blurb aside, I thought Lora Leigh’s title was enchanting, stylish and arousing. The plot made coherent sense, even though I was leaping in to the second book in a trilogy, and the characters were engaging and credible. Most important: the content was exciting and well-realised as erotic fiction. For those aficionados of the genre who have yet to discover Lora Leigh’s talents, the Nauti series seems like a good place to start.
Review by Victoria Blisse: Texas Heat is definitely a hot read. There are lots of steamy sex sessions that are bound to get you all hot under the collar. The romantic in me was also satisfied in particular by the first chapter of the book, where Annie and Vin first meet. It’s really sweet and also kinda funny, for me that is an irresistible combination. You soon get quite attached to both Annie and Vin. They’re interesting characters and I love how you get to see into the thought processes of both of them so you always understand what motivates them. It must have been a real challenge to write about a man who was going blind but Lynne Connolly pulls it off really, really well. I did find a few things along the way that confused me and I think that maybe that wouldn’t have happened if a little more explanation was given at key points. I don’t want to give the whole story away but there is a point where both characters are let down by the other and convinced of each other’s trickery. I found that easy to believe but the later part where they renewed their relationship but in a purely sexual and financially benefitting way stumped me a little. I would have liked more interaction within the scenes that move the characters from broken hearts and near hatred to seemingly lovelessly living together. However, the story was fast paced and interesting and I soon forgot the little niggles as I got caught up in the story line. I’m pleased to say that this is an erotic romance that contains a really strong romantic element. I’m a softie at heart and I love lashings and lashings of romance with my wild sex scenes, Texas Heat certainly satisfied that need in me. I would recommend this happily to anyone who loves a little heat with their romance. It’s definitely well worth a read.
