2012 EVENT SCHEDULE
The intent of the 2012 Events is to help writers gain knowledge and experience in various genres. Each event will be hosted in a variety of forms by professional authors and editors within the genre. Events will take place as live chats, and in the various sections of ERWA email list: Parlor, Writers, and Storytime. Dates and scheduled events are tentitive, and will be updated as necessary. March: Erotic Romance Schedule of Events: June GLBT Schedule of Events: What: GLBT Live Chats with the Pros June is Pride month in North America, and elsewhere... an annual celebration of diversity in sexual and gender identity and orientation. ERWA will help interested authors with two GLBT "Live Chats with the Pros." Delilah Devlin and M Christian will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice, and exchange ideas with authors of GLBT erotica. Whether you're penning your first gay fiction, or are a spicy-seasoned pro, don't miss these opportunities. And don't miss out on the chance to post your own GLBT offerings in Storytime in June. Of course, GLBT-themed works are always welcome in Storytime, but for the month of June, we invite everyone to come out of the literary closet and post a GLBT piece. If you've never penned one before, step out of your comfort zone and try it. September: Fantasy (myths, legends, vampire, shapeshifters, steampunk, urban fantasy) (details to be announced) December: BDSM / Kinks / Fetishs (details to be announced) "La Petite Mort" and "Holiday Tales" are long standing ERWA traditions. Storytime subscribers share stories on the themes for possible inclusion in the gallery of ERWA website's special Halloween and Holiday editions. SEPTEMBER: La Petite Mort "La Petite Mort" is an ERWA Hallowe'en tradition. It’s your chance to share chilling, thrilling tales of erotic terror that will scare the pants off your readers. The harvest of horror choices will appear, with permission, in the Gallery for the month for all things dark and dangerous...October. Ignite our fears and desires with sexy, sensual, supernatural and unnatural beings; vampires, werefolk, zombies, mummies and other creatures that might bump you in the night. And what about broad daylight? There are some eerie individuals walking around, from nine to five, looking very normal, saying and doing all the "right" things, but what lurks beneath? NOVEMBER: Holiday Tales "Holiday Tales" is an ERWA winter holiday tradition, and our erotic gift to ERWA Gallery readers. We ask Storytime writers to help us deck the gallery with naughty tales of winter festive celebrations. With permission, holiday stories will appear in the Gallery during the Holiday Edition, Dec 1 - Feb 1. Holidays play havoc with our emotions. They can be a time of carefree sexuality, joy, hope, romance, and rejuvenation. Holidays can also bring despair, depression, loneliness, and shattered dreams. This theme focuses on intense emotions that revolve around holidays. Maybe it's not such "A Wonderful Life" if you're alone and lonely during the holidays. All winter holidays and festivals celebrated around the world are fair game for this theme; i.e. Christmas, Chanukah, New Years, Kwaanza, Ramadan, Divali, Ramadan, Winter Solstice, and any other seasonal holiday that occurs after Thanksgiving.
There are a number of writers on the ERWA lists who participate in the annual "NaNoWriMo" contest — writing a complete 50K-novel during the month of November. Rules: Let us know if you're going to participate. Feel free to discuss your stories in Writers if the discussion pertains to writing or publishing, of course, or in Parlor if the discussion is veering away from writing and publishing topics (e.g. the relative merits of rattan canes vs riding crops, wardrobe choices for crossdressers, etc.) Direct questions, concerns, suggestions to: Copyright © 1996 and on, Erotica Readers Association, Inc. |
